How to apply for a HCPT Grant

The HCPT invites funding requests for programs serving Hampton children with child abuse prevention or interventions as its goal. Grants of up to $1,000 are awarded.

Since 1992, more than $75,000.00 has been raised and distributed to more than thirty-five community organizations and over eighty projects helping children.

Some grants funded in the past including training on recognizing the signs of child abuse and neglect to several diverse community groups, tutorial programs assisting high risk school populations and art therapy for families victimized by violence.

Projects have received grants for as much as $1,000.00 or as little as $100.00.

Last year, there was $6,500 distributed to approved programs. There were 12 submissions. Of the 12, there were 5 grant request/applications approved. 7 were denied. Please note that agencies denied were for reasons related to not meeting full criteria of child abuse prevention and or intervention. The requests appeared to be beneficial to the community however, they all did not meet criteria of grant approval.
